Myself Dr. Khan , Studied in Mauritius University . I scored 155 in FMGE December 2018.
2. What do you think is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's?
Notes plus mcq book I read from Marwah ... If time permits go for kv Kamal as well... Main sub. to focus on biochem patho fsm micro ENT opthlam psm Ortho paeds obg ... In anat embryo and neuro.. in physio cvs cns git endo... Pharmac: cns ans cvs rs anti microbials
Med: cns cvs Endo rs
Sur: renal git breast thyroid general
Rest 4 short subjects like anaes psych radio derma don't waste much time on it notes mcqs with explanation would be fine.
3. When should the preparation ideally be started?
I prepared after my mbbs.... BuT it takes time and so i would suggest start during mbbs course itself if possible

5. Have you attempted FMGE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success.
Last time I got stuck at 149 so I would say revision is the key
6. How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it?
Start from the very 1st day... don't skip any day... be constant... don't give up.... Don't run behind completing a subject at a stretch... you feel bored or tired change the subject
Keep a month 4 revision
Don't read new things in the last month
Revise what you studied
Last 10days you HaVe lots of anxiety... make a list a wanna go thru and go thru one liners ....one day Before exam don't strain yourself... Keep yourself free from evening eat and HaVe good sleep Before going to exam.... because exam day is a long day.... you need gave up partying and enjoyment aside for 4.5months
7. Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track?
Just make your everyday. Target and try to achieve it.

Easy: patho fsm psm sur paeds Ortho obg biochem micro
Diff: anatomy physio pharmac opthalm med derma psych
9. One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for FMGE
Trying to read everything at least once it doesn't help....
10. Last tips for upcoming FMGE aspirants.
Keep revising do not waste time.... No parties no theatres need a break watch movie in your room...
