1.Hello, please tell us something about yourself

Hi im Dr. Siddharth Daruwala, graduate of AMEC-BCCM, Philippines. I have scored 192 in FMGE exam Dec 2018.

2. What do you think is the correct approach to study for FMGE? Only MCQ's or Theory+MCQ's?

Understanding of theoretical concepts and a multiple time of it revision at a desired duration will make concepts more clearer. Then one can discuss a topic wise MCQs by any preffared FMGE books.

3. When should the preparation ideally be started?

Ideally preparation should be started by the time you think of taking up MBBS. But as of never the late, one can start preparation as early as possible. Get settled up in a peaceful place, mind and get started.

4.Please list the books you studied for each subject.

There would be multiple book for the same subject but regardless of differences, i would advise you to stick to one book only.
These are some textbooks of reference:

Anatomy: Snell’s clinical Anatomy + Gray’s
Biochemistry: Lippincott’s 
Physiology: Guyton
Patho : robins
Pharma : katzung
Pedia : nelson
Surgery : swartz
Medicine : Harrison

5. Have you attempted FMGE previously? If yes, what did you do different this year that lead to your success.

This was my first attempt.

6. How big is the role of practice and revision while preparing for FMGE and how much time should be dedicated for it?

Topic wise focused practice of each subject and timely repeated revision can make this exam a definite success.

7. Did you use a time table/study plan to keep your preparation on track?

Timely study plan is a must. Though stick to it is a harder part, but continue efforts and achieving smaller target may make success big.

8. List the most difficult and easiest subjects for you.

Most difficult ones were medicine, micro, pharma
Most easy ones were ENT, physio, Ob-gyn
This may varies up to your times of revisions.

9. One mistake that you believe everyone must avoid while preparing for FMGE

Comparing yourself with other aspirant.

10. Last tips for upcoming FMGE aspirants.

One attempt is enough for you to score 150 plus without any doubt to yourself with determination of being doctor.
